My beach filled first quarter of 2010

Did you know that despite living in the Philippines all my life, the first time I ever went to the beach was when I was done with college in 1997!!?? hehe..

So what an incredible first quarter of 2010 it has been and I can only say how overwhelmed I am with God. Especially because it is amazing that every single month so far, we have had the opportunity to hit the beach!!!

January -- Nasugbu, Batangas! We went went to the beach at Nasugbu, Batangas for Joe and Carla's wedding. So thankful they invited me to sing. Their beach wedding HAS got to be the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to so far.

Febuary -- Pandanon Island (near Cebu/Bohol!)!!! I'm so thankful for being invited (with my WHOLE BAND) to play in the universities of Cebu. Playing in the campu

Looking Back at 2009 (WHAT I LEARNED / REALIZED IN A GREATER LEVEL)

1. I learned to trust God more...I experienced his provision and grace during and after the storm Ondoy

2. I learned that I get offended easily..I should learn to just let it go...coz If I let the offense wallow up inside of me, I'll just be bitter, angry and tend to be "monstrous" nasty

3. That poverty is violence

4. That my heart breaks so bad when I see children living/begging on the streets..But I can do something to help them.

5. That I can't save or rescue everyone.

6. I'm not the savior...Jesus is :)

7. That there's so much work to be done here in our country

8. That I'm limited...but Jesus isn't

9. That I'm doing what I'm doing because this is who I am..

Star-filled Sky

It was 2:30 am Sunday...I could hear the family with us in the room snoring. I could not sleep so I stood up..my back ached lying on the floor..I looked at Tashi.. glad that he was able to sleep... by this time the treacherous rains had also finally gone away. I went towards the window and looked up to the sky. The cold breeze calmed me..the stars filled the sky... It was so beautiful.

"Lord, I may not understand why this happened..and I am uncertain how much longer it will take for this flood to subside. Will we still have food while we stay in this house?" I prayed. A lot of questions needed to be answered but the only thing I was certain of.. is that God is MY God, my father... and that He is mighty to save.
