I have an 8 month old baby boy.. and looking at these pictures breaks my heart (see link below) .. they need help.. and we should help them.. let them know that Jesus loves them and has not abandoned them.. we are Jesus' hands and feet.. we should do something about this.
Jose Fabella Hospital has had the reputation of being called Manila's "baby factory" because of the fact that 20% of the city's population is born there. These photos were taken in one of the wards of the hospital where 3-4 moms and babies share a tandem bed because there's just not enough room to accommodate everyone.
My friend Sheila and Jorem went there to take some pictures. See them here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcScTQbLKsA
Help us help Fabella. Contact:
For donations in kind they need 1) breast pump 2) linens/receiving blanket 3) diapers 4) a glucometer 5) droplights (to warm the preemies, and there are many!) 6) a digital weighing scale.
They would also appreciate other baby items such as baby clothes, bottles, nipples, pacifiers, etc. - so if you have items you can pass on from your kids who have grown, such donations are more than welcome.
