My Christmas List

Most of us are asking what is God's will for us.. and in this verse, it's plain and simple.

"Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

God wants us to be joyful, to pray and to be thankful in ALL circumstances... hmmm...easier said than done..How can you be joyful when things are not going your way?

Last month, Ptr. Julius discussed to us this verse. The thing is, "joy" is different from "happiness". Unlike "Joy", "Happiness" depends on your circumstances. If you always have a grateful heart, then you can be joyful no matter what comes your way...and when you pray, you are actually aligning yourself to God's will..Praying is not having a list of requests... but it's communicating to God.. and when you actually talk to Him from your heart,... being honest about how you feel and what you've done, you'll be surprised how he'll speak, teach, and reveal things to you and even change how you think and how you feel.. and because of that you'll have peace and joy.

Let us all celebrate Christmas with a grateful and joyful heart as we remind ourselves the things that God has blessed us with :) HEre is my Christmas "thank you" list:

1. I thank God for saving me.. for sending Jesus (that's why there is Christmas) .. for forgiving me for all my sins and loving me unconditionally though I don't deserve it.

   For not letting me go during those times I've been stubborn and prideful... and for continually teaching me, and changing me from the inside out. Haaay!!! I'm so glad that you are my God,my savior, my dad and my friend. ewan ko na lang kung ano nangyari sakin kung di kita nakilala.. baka napulot nalang ako sa kangkungan...heheheeh :P

2. Thank you for giving me Danny... I feel so blessed!!!!... I never thought that there is still a man like Danny who exists... heheh.. san ka pa?!! A man who truly loves God!.. a very very loving husband..until now, he still text me "i love you" whenever he's at work.. he respects my opinion, he listens to me, he is so patient when I'm "sungit", he is super gentleman!.. and very very supportive of me and my career... he even washes the dishes and cooks for me when I'm tired, he takes care of Tashi -gives him a bath, feed him and change his diapers- so that I can rest. He is sensitive to what I feel, and he would rather go home and spend time with me and Tashi than go out with other people.. Thank you thank you Lord for saving me from marrying the wrong guy!

3. Thank you for my baby Tashi... for entrusting me a life I can love, and raise up.. for letting me experience how it is to be a mom. Tashi is such a great joy to me. He is now 4 months old.. and every milestone is a delight for Danny and I.. Tashi can now lie on his belly on his own, he squeals and giggles aloud when he's happy, he likes chewing his blanket, he got the beautiful eyes of his dad, he talks to himself when he wakes up... and when he sees me looking at him in his crib, he will give me the most beautiful smile ever!

4. My family and spiritual family. I'm so blessed to have a loving and generous parents :) knowing that we don't have a car, my mom let us use their car so we won't have a hard time traveling, specially now that we have a baby.. How my parents were faithful to each other, let me believe that marriage can work...specially if God is in the center of it. How they live a clean and healthy lifestyle without vices, encouraged me to be a good steward of the body that God has given me :)

   To my friends and spiritual family in Victory, I'm so glad that I'm part of a church... they are there to support, encourage and to tell me things I need to hear...to tell me the truth even when it hurts.. Your prayers really helps me every day

5. My job. Being able to do what you love is simply a joy to me... not to mention being paid for it as well :) Thank you Lord for these talents that you have given me...thank you for the opportunities you are giving me to be able to sing, and write songs. Thank you for giving me the ability to produce wealth with these tools you've entrusted me with.. May I be found faithful in how I use it .. may you be pleased :)

*** There are still a LOT of things I'm thankful for..like good health, provision, our house, new friends, our helper in the house, opportunities to share God's word, and mentor some of the influential people here in the country today, grabe... dami pa.. just the fact that we are still breathing is a something to be thankful for :) but I don't want this blog to be too long.. you might not read it..heheh..

I really hope you get encouraged with these... try it!! list down things you want to thank God for, and I'm sure.. it will leave a smile on your face :)
